Power Query

Automated import, preparation and modeling of data

With Power Query you can import data from different sources, transform it, and pass it on to Excel, Power Pivot, or Power BI. There are numerous tools available with which you can automate recurring steps without programming, so that no repetitive tasks occur during data updates.

Some examples of data transformations automated in Power Query:

Power Pivot

Target Group: You are already working with Pivot Tables and want to build data from different sources into a data model, enrich it with additional calculations and evaluations, and then evaluate it as a Pivot Table in Excel.

Advanced modeling and evaluation of data with Pivot tables

In Power Pivot, data from different sources can be conveniently combined into data models. Because a database works in the background, large amounts of data can be processed at high speed. In addition to numerous evaluation functions, calculation functions specifically designed for Pivot tables are available. Power Pivot is included as an Add-In in Excel.

In contrast to Excel, which predefines fixed grouping and calculation functions within the scope of Pivot analysis, you can do the following in Power Pivot, for example:
